Leadership

We are Rev. Kwaku and Comfort Adu-Wusu, husband and wife, ministry partners, and the founding leaders of A-Life Baptist Church. Married for 34 years and blessed with three beautiful children, our lives have been deeply rooted in faith, love, and a shared vision to bring LIFE to the world through Jesus Christ.

Our journey began in our local church in Ghana, where we met while serving in the children's ministry. There, God began shaping our hearts for service and planting the seeds of the vision we now walk in. After years of faithfully ministering side-by-side, we were called to the United States to continue our mission—first in New York, and eventually to Dallas, Texas, where God led us to establish A-Life Baptist Church.

Rev. Kwaku has had the incredible privilege of ministering across the United States and in countries such as Japan, England, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Ghana, and Canada. A proud graduate and ordained minister of Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, he brings over four decades of passionate ministry, having begun in 1981 after surrendering his life to Christ, despite being raised in a Muslim family. That bold decision cost him greatly, including being disowned, but it ignited a lifelong passion to reach the lost. Of his 21 siblings, only two have accepted Christ, making his mission deeply personal and unwavering.

Comfort continues to serve faithfully as part of the Hospitality Team at A-Life, using her warmth, care, and nurturing spirit to make every person who walks through our doors feel at home. Her presence in ministry is a true reflection of Christ’s love, and together, we are committed to fostering Christlike relationships, meaningful fellowship, and transformative encounters—especially among the next generation.

We believe that through fervent prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit, nothing is beyond reach. It is our honor to serve and lead a church family where lives are changed, hope is restored, and the love of Christ is made real every single day.
